What an exciting week it has been in our studio! We’ve been busy exploring the wonders of nature, learning about different cultures, and diving into the fascinating world of mathematics and geometry.
We embarked on a journey to discover the unique plants that are edible right here in Wisconsin. Our adventure took us to a nearby park where we went foraging for four of the most common plants in our state. We used all our senses to observe them – what they look like, feel like, and even smell like! Each detail was carefully recorded in our field guide, turning us into expert explorers of the wilderness.
Our journey didn’t stop there! We traveled all the way to Russia to uncover the mysteries of the White Nights Festival. Inspired by the vibrant celebrations, we created our very own firework paintings, bursting with color and excitement.
This week, we introduced some new fascinating Montessori tools to aid us in our mathematical adventures. The long and short bead chains help the heroes understand skip counting in a fun and interactive way. They also delved into the world of geometric shapes, using hands-on exploration to discover the unique characteristics of each shape category. Who knew math could be so much fun?
This week was an outdoor adventure filled with exploration, creativity, and learning. We can’t wait to see what new adventures await us next week!
